The second edition of the PSE Prize “Best ISEG Space Econometrics Student” was awarded.
This award distinguishes the best student of space econometrics at ISEG in 2019/2020. The winner of this edition was student Tiago Pires, who, in addition to the monetary prize, will also perform a professional internship at PSE.
At the award ceremony, carried out through the Zoom platform, Professor Esmeralda Ramalho, coordinator of the master’s program, highlighted the importance of the PSE experience and the added value of the PSE data for students.
For Professor Isabel Proença, the PSE award is an incentive and motivation for students to perform well.
According to Nuno Santos, Chief Analytics Officer at PSE “Tiago is not just an exceptional student, with excellent grades. He really likes the subject, he lives the subject, data analysis and econometrics! ”.
Tiago Pires, the winner of the award says that “the award was the culmination of a huge effort” and thanked companies like PSE for being “attentive and interested in young graduates”. According to him, “the discipline of Space Econometrics is fundamental in this master’s degree, it fits like a glove”.
The PSE Prize for the Best Student of Space Econometrics results from a protocol between ISEG – Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, and PSE- Produtos e Serviços de Estatística Lda, and distinguishes the best student of spatial econometrics in the Master of Applied Econometrics and Forecast.
